Had a great dive at the Alki Junkpile this afternoon. 20 to 25ft of viz. A cold layer of fresh water in the first 15ft was a bit of a shock to the face. Got a glimpse of beautiful orange Grunt Sculpin. The highlight of the dive was a young, orange, wolf eel that was swimming around and very curious about us. Also saw what I believe is a Shag-Rug Nudibranch (Aeolidia papillosa) laying eggs in the eel grass.

Awesome wolfie shots!
The junkyard is a fun dive, it usually has some good finds!

What a treat. A juvenile wolf eel in the open nice pics!

Incredible picture of the shaggy mouse laying eggs! All three photos are fabulous, and thank you for sharing them.

That gray (female?) wolf eel's got to be outgrowing that beam soon. She's been there for a couple of years now I think.

Great shots!
there were 4 juvenile wolf eels along the line when we were there last month -- it was absolutely stellar (though none came out to play).
The shaggys in the shallows are really interesting to me -- when we saw them they were bright orange! I've seen the muted gray tones quite regularly, but the orange color really caught me off guard.
All in all, the junkyard is redeeming itself as a stellar dive in my book

The first picture of a wolf eel has spectacular texture. Nice work.
