After a very brief preview of PNW diving on amazon books I realized that there is a fair smattering of options for those like myself who are interested in getting their bookworm on.
What are folks opinions on the top 5-7 books about PNW diving. My emphasis would be on dive sites and critters but all are welcome.....even picture books.....
For the picture book category, I recommend Beneath Cold Seas by David Hall. It's a fairly new book - got a copy for xmas last year - great photo book, lots of things you get to see diving here.

I like the Andy Lamb book John linked to. I also like Behrens' Eastern Pacific Nudibranchs, and Lamb's book on Pacific Coastal Fishes. And if you want a marine ID book that's absolutely hysterical reading, get Milton Love's Certainly More than you Wanted to Know about the Fishes of the Pacific Coast. It's wonderful!

I have 3 that I like...
1) Coastal Fish Identification - California to Alaska by Paul Humann and Ned Deloach w/Photos by Howard Hall and Neil Mcdaniel
2) Coastal Fishes of the Pacific Northwest by Andy Lamb and Phil Edgell
3) Critters, Creatures and Kelp - A Guide to life in the Edmonds Underwater Park by Dan Clements
All 3 have more information than my poor little noggin can absorb...
