I want to add to the Oregon Nudibranch collection.

Dive mate and I dove "Sparky's" old haunt, Netarts Bay, on Saturday. We were well over a mile across the ocean bar and up inside the bay, when we ran into an Alabaster Nudi about 1.25 to 1.5 inches long.

I am a fairly new diver and so don't know a lot about these things yet. But, from what I had read, they are usually found in more outside waters. We were quite surprised to see one so far up inside a bay.

I know it is "old hat" for most of you. But, as a newbie, it was my first Nudi, I was excited!! LOL

Cool stuff! An alabaster nudi (Dirona albolineata, aka white-lined dirona, was my first nudibranch also. But we see them all the time in Puget Sound, in bays, protected waters, etc. Pretty common, but cool every time I see one.
Happy Diving!
