"Interesting" Series of Threads Today

Post by Peter Guy »

I logged on and found the following two threads:

I'm sure one had nothing to do with the other!

Just curious if you even read the two posts? The gear does not even match. Besides, I went up and met jes (Jane) to buy a couple tanks from Craigslist and I suggested to her that she post her remaining gear on this board (after an introduction). In the introductions area she kindly posted an introduction and then proceeded to list gear (with photos and descriptions). After meeting her, I highly doubt any of her gear was stolen.

So the short answer. 'No' I don't think these are related.

Just want to make sure someone hanging up their fins is not ridiculed on this board without just cause.

I think they were just pointing out that it was interesting to see these two threads right next to each other. Which is somewhat odd looking. The op pointed out that there was obviously no connection.

I do hope the missing gear is recovered.

Understood Norris, thanks for the post. I saw Peter said they were probably unrelated. I was hoping that the coincidental thread posts did not negatively impact Jane's effort to sell her gear. Since I met her personally and recommend she post here, I wanted to make sure I shared my knowledge/experience. I see now that Peter was just posting an interested observation. Thanks again for clarifying this.

No -- I didn't read the threads. I just found it amusing that the "Gear stolen" and "Gear for sale" threads were consecutive.

I guess for some jokes you just had to be there! :-)

That made me chuckle. Sometimes I have my serious face on too often on these boards. Someday I will learn to relax and not take everything so seriously. :taco:
