Hello,
I am Dan - been diving since 1997 basically al cold water diving, been diving here in the PNW for over 12 years and I am always looking for chances to get wet; got everything I need dry suit tank etc. I am looking to meet up with new divers and have a safe fun dive. Like to look and take pics, not a hunter prefer depth LT 80ft but can go deep if i have a good reason. I am based out of kitsap peninsula so I can basically go anywhere in the south sound, hood Canal and out to salt creek on the Straight of Juan De Fuca, haven't really made any trips north to san juans or anacortes as of yet...
Looking forward to meeting and making new dive buddies; so where should I start?...

You have started! This is a good place to connect with other folks who are active divers.
If you have a specific dive you would like to do, post the place and time on "Dive Planning" and ask for buddies. Otherwise, you can watch for other folks who are posting the same. In addition, you can check out the standing dives which I think are stickied at the top of the Dive Planning subforum.

I'm a cyber diver for now(recovering from back surgery) but hope to be back in the water soon. Hopefully you can come dive with me on a Thursday in the South Sound area, Tacoma Waterfront, up to... Three Tree N. Keep an eye on the dive planning section of this board. Post when you want to dive, or respond to someone else's planned dive.

I'm happy to see another Kitsap diver! Yeah! There are a couple that have recently joined the board... several of which I'm still hoping to connect with (but mostly as yet haven't yet due to "life getting in the way" sortsa issues)... Anyway, as others have said, the Thrs south sound thing isn't too bad for us kitsap folk, travel time wise, but always happy to see Kitsap folk joining, too, since that opens up options further west with more ease... (Canal, Fox Island, etc)

Some of the coolest things I've ever seen in the sound have been above 40'. I've seen plenty of mud at 130'. To each their own. Depth is not a driver in my diving.
