How about a real introduction telling us who you are, instead of a lame compulsory message.DanClements wrote:Completing account creation.

Maybe it's a placeholder for shenanigans?

Hey Dan,
Nice to see yah on the board. We met at red cup a few months back and have been emailing back and forth trying to hook up for a dive. We'll make it happen sooner or later!

I think you've figured out the root cause of your problems. Even sea lions get annoyed by splitfin divers silting out their dive sites. Switch back to your jets and you'll be safe from the sea lion silt prevention patrol from now on. - NWbrewer

Oh, I know. I believe I've met him on a couple of occasions. I was intoning it was a placeholder that he would add information to later (And of course it was meant in a sarcastic sort of way [What would I be if not thorough?]). 0]Nwbrewer wrote:No he's a real person. http://www.e-clements.com/

Re: Hello.
Sarcastic? Hmm I think we have a font for that here. [sarcasm]Perhaps it should be named for you kind of like several smiles are named for members or maybe you could set your post to sarcasm as the default font[/sarcasm] but then there are a bunch of sarcastic buggers here.defied wrote:Oh, I know. Re: Hello.
Hi All,
Sorry about the short intro. I had an old account but could not reactivate it. Over the weekend I had several folks ask about the Dive Expo photo contest, and wanted to share what I knew.
So, I live in the Everett/Mukilteo area, wrote a book called Critters, Creatures, and Kelp about the Edmonds underwater park, and put out a magazine for underwater photographers and videographers in the Pacific Northwest called Pacific Northwest Diver. Do a fair amount of writing, photography, and speaking, especially to school age students. Travel overseas quite a bit, and also enjoy back country skiing, mountain biking, trail running, and opera. Also do a few underwater photo instruction seminars, but more interested in learning than teaching.
As mentioned in the Dive Expo photo contest thread, a year or so ago I spent about six months detailing the Saturday night photo event with Rick and Selene: the thought of having PNWUPS run it. For a variety of reasons this did not look like a good fit. Instead, we rented Town Hall in Seattle on Saturday, October 4, 2014, for what we are calling Salish Sea Celebration: Pacific Northwest Underwater Photo & Video Festival.
This year have had great local diving, plus trips to Anilao and God's Pocket. Off to Monterey and Pt Lobos next week. Adams River sockeye run and La Paz whale sharks this Fall.
Looking forward to seeing NDC members on dives!
