Not too late to swim with kokanee

A place for Oregonians to plan a car-pooling road trip, find a nearby diveable mudhole, and meet new local dive buddies.

Not too late to swim with kokanee

Post by Furnari »

Our group visited Crescent Lake up Hwy 58 over the weekend- plenty of kokanee right near the lodge. After swimming with the fishes, one of our friends described this as a "bucket list dive". It's that cool. The lodge also has good food and beer on tap- makes for a great day.

In November the same thing happens in Lake Coeur d'Alene. Looking forward to it.

Waldo?

- I don't know about you but I'm not into swallowing it

I hope Waldo's fire from a few years ago cleared up, looks like it has...

My only visit to Waldo was a dive in 2010. Unbelievable viz- even better than Clear Lake. There wasn't much to see, at least where we dove.

That's incredible. I wonder what other lakes offer the same views that are closer to the Portland area?
