A day in Discovery Bay

Post by Don-B »

It was a wonderful day of diving on Discovery Bay.
I met up with KeithBoll today for a couple of dive from my boat.
The weather was great and the water was calm.
Our 1st dive was at ED's Fault. If you have never dove this site you need to put it on your to-do list.
I have dove there several times and it never disappoints.
There is so much life for winter time its incredible.
You name it we probably saw it. Gpo's, nudis , wolf eels, all kinds of fish critters I have no idea what you call them.
The bad thing was my suit had a small leak. A 76min dive in 45 degree water you get cold but it was worth it.

Here is a little vid of Keith with his new friend.

Dive 2 was on the wreck War Hawk.
Its strait across the bay from Ed's Fault in about 30ft of water.
The War Hawk was a 182' wooden hull sailing ship that suck 130years ago.
That was a fun dive. It was both of your 1st time diving the War Hawk.
There's not a lot left but enough to make it worth while.
I will post a vid once i get it edited.

Hopefully Keith will post some of the pic's he took today.
Anyway Thanks Keith for going with me today i had a great time.

Nice work Don. I was digging the octo until it grabbed the camera. :)

Both of those sites were on the list of places we were going to try to go with our boat. I've never seen a bad dive report from Ed's Fault.
