Club Dive! Club Dive! NWDC Invades Sund Rock! 09/06/2014

I'm going to come. I'd like to carpool if possible. I'm in Seattle, and I can drive and take one or 2 divers with me. I have a VW Jetta Wagon, and I'm not sure I could take more people with their tanks. Alternatively I'd be happy to join another driver.

Not sure yet what I'll bring. I'll post an update.

I'm very interested in coming! Do we need to pay the fee in advance? I will bring dessert and hot dogs/buns I'm a new diver but should have my advanced diver buddy with me!

You need to pay your entrance fee at Hoodsport Scuba shop. There will be divers of all levels there so should be you somewhat new there will be ample people to hook you up with.

I am happy to take up to three people with me. Caveat - you will need to be ready to leave super early from Seattle, and stay until mid-afternoon. But, you get to use my tailgate to gear up, and we'll likely have a decent spot on the lot (knock on wood). PM me if interested.

My wife Cindy and I will be at the club dive along with our two year old daughter. I'll be doing shore support/baby duty while she dives. Cindy hasn't been in cold water since before she was pregnant (about 3 years) and could use a big buddy for the dive.

I'll bring my 10 X 10 pop up tent and some chairs. We'll also bring a pot of chili and chips.

On another note, we'll be spending the weekend at Mikes Beach and I'll be bringing my boat. If anyone else is spending the weekend and wants to catch a dive or two late Friday afternoon or early Sunday morning let me know.

As many of you have pointed out, there are a bunch of clubs that we will be sharing the rather wee parking lot with on Saturday (in spite of checking before hand to avoid this....arg). There was a parking space available the whole time we were there, and it was a lovely day above and below the surface, so much ado about nothing, I guess. Which was good, because I went into this expecting it to be stressful and not particularly fun. How happy I was to be wrong!

Thanks to Joss for making the drive more fun, and to Joss, James, and ketralis for being such good dive buddies. Thanks to all of them plus Greg (James' awesome dad), Decidedly Odd, and his buddy (whose name I forgot) for being excellent surface interval company, and for the delicious food. And for help setting up and breaking down. NWDC people rock!
