Very Cool... I will leave Lakewood a bit before that... this should put us at Mike's around 9:15 9:30. Divernick should also be there at the time. Bassman may join us depending on what arrangements are made with his bride and his daughter. We will represent the early NWDC contingent! :rr:

Greg and I (Rachel) are staying in some type of budget cabin they have. We are only booked for Friday night and are leaving late Saturday (Greg has double shift on Sundays, can't miss that). Let me know what vegetarian food items you'd like me to bring and I can bring them - I'm already bringing vegetarian burgers/hotdogs for myself and Greg...was thinking some potato salad would be good too.

SO, the other part of this post is that I was hit suddenly (within the last hour) to make a near-mandatory appearance for an event dealing with my lab at 4:30pm on Friday and stay for a couple of hours. This seems incredibly important, otherwise I'd just not go. I *want* to go Friday, early, unload the NuCanoe, do a dive, and then drive back. I'm not sure if Greg's going to stay at Hood Canal or come with me, but I'll drive back again after the event. It's going to be a lot of sucky driving that day :P But I'll do it...just need to know there's going to be people there on Friday to do a dive with (probably only a single dive before I have to leave) since Greg and I don't know the area and are relative noobs to diving (and don't dive real deep...).

I'm sure that one of us could put aside their rebreather or doubles, come up from our 300' dives with multiple stage bottles and do a dive with some relative noobs...

(said massively tongue in cheek, of course... at least the part about rebreathers and doubles!)

The only planned Dive I know for sure is a Night Dive At Mikes Beach after dinner. So I would suggest anyone who wants to do that "Night Dive" should do at least one dive there on Friday during the day.

I hope to do some diving at Sund Rock on Saturday and,
who knows,where else?

Someone from Mavs Cabin should bring the rest of the additions to the Chilli

What time is dinner? I will do my best to bring chilli and sourcream. there is already chees, right?

Also where is this places party room. i have no contacts of any of you guys staying there because I am up at the cabin with no cell service.

Well, I'm back early after 4 great dives on Friday.

Bassman and I caravaned to Mike's, where we met up with DiverNick and Bnboly. We found a very low tide, and did our first dive in two buddy pairs, stayed together most of the dive. This was my first time at Mike's, so the dives were a bit exploratory. We found an assorment of sunk boats, more washers than I've ever seen in one place except maybe a store, stoves and an assortment of junk. There are several large resident lings, probably due to the "no spearfishing" sign. There are also some goodsized rockfish around some structure. Not a ton of life, except for shrimp and squats...
Second dive was with Bassman, then we had a great surface interval filling our tanks and grabbing lunch.
Did another dive in the afternoon, then teamed up with Sounder for the last dive.
Great day, great company, seems like everyone is having a great time! Thanks Keith, Nick, Bill, and Doug for great dives!

Now for me, it's off to Israel on Tuesday! $\:D/$ :rr:

I'm glad everyone is having a great time. I am camping at Fort Stevens in Warrenton with Nine yes Nine!!! Nine year olds and my wife. We are having a Ninth birthday party for my daughter Alisha. My wife planned on this in January but no vacancies here at FT Stevens in July when Alisha really has her birthday. everybody have fun.
