Lumpies at Redondo
Lumpies at Redondo
Despite much less eelgrass and kelp in their habitat this year... yup, there are lumpies at Redondo these days! They were a bit hard to find but SJ and I found 3 in about 12 feet, and one in about 5 feet on our dive tonight. All goldish or a bit greenish. A few octos and squid were also about. Thanks also to Grateful Diver for being our buddy at the beginning of the dive, and giving us the latest intel on where to find them! It was a nice fun dive!
We made it almost a 2 hour run!

These are amazing shots! Nice work with the lighting getting all that texture to show!

That Skate totally looks like a squished dragon! It was so cool!

Re: Lumpies at Redondo
So I had my longest ever dive last night!
115 Minutes under the sea! It was so much fun!
Thanks to Grateful Diver (Bob) & YellowEye for going on the Lumpy dive with me!
It was so great to see the super cute little Lumpies! I saw 4 of them and a few octos out and about. The Kelp crabs were huge and everywhere, they kept trying to climb onto the camera. It was crazy!
Also we saw a Sausage Jelly Fish and a Skate near the end of the dive. I can't wait to go back.
Here are a few of my pics.

Great pics YellowEye and ScubaJess! I really like the skate shot. The eye and horns are beautiful. Looking forward to getting my fill of lumpies soon!
