Anyone have a pair of colored Jet Fins?
A buddy of mine is interested in buying a pair of colored jet fins but is unsure of the size or if they will bother her tweaky ankle. I am guessing an XL for size. Does anyone have a pair that she can try out?

The colored ones are the same sizing as the black ones.
M is miniscule
L is tiny
XL is "normal"
XXL is pretty big
I have men's 10.5 feet and wear XLs with turbo soles.

Re: Anyone have a pair of colored Jet Fins?
Good to know. I used to have a pair of large sized ones and they just barely fit with a thin pair of boots/socks. Her foot is a couple of sizes larger so it sounds like the XL will work.
Mostly I am worried that the fin will be too heavy and will aggravate her ankle, plus I believe in trying as much as possible before buying. She's a grad student and therefore not exactly swimming in scuba units, so I'd like to help her avoid purchasing something that doesn't work.

I'd loan you mine but not sure the spring straps would fit.
What type of boots does she have?

Rock boots, and she's a women's 9.5 wide.

XLs would be the likely size. Not sure if the foot pocket would be tall enough for the rock boots though.

The pink jet fins I have are XL and they are to my feel, slightly softer than the old black ones, but that could just be cause the old black ones are 20 years old and the rubber has hardened

I believe they are a size 7. I have heard varying reports that the colored ones are a bit softer but also that their black jets were older too...so yeah.

Is she only looking at Jet fins or is she open to other options? Need to check the garage, but I think I have a pair of black Jet Fins she's welcome to have. They were gifted to me from a neighbor. If she'd be looking at other options I've got a couple pairs of Apollo Bio-pros up for sale (Neon orange - S and highlighter yellow - XS).

She'd prefer paddle fins, unfortunately, but if the jets are XLs it would be great if she could at least borrow them? She laments the proliferation of black in the scuba industry and loves the yellow fins especially. Or she may say "Hey, free fins! Woohoo!"

A can of spray paint or some brightly colored duct tape could easily make most of that black 'disappear' Let me check the size when I get home and I'll shoot you a PM if they are in fact and XL.

OK and I know how this is going to sound, but it is not one of them moments. However, isn't black a COLOR?

Actually, black is the absence of color.

Actually isn't it the absence or complete absorption of light?

So then those who are DIR or believe in the ALL black gear config are just colorless souls.
or when someone asks me the color of my gear I will answer unfortunately my gear is absent of all color with a little red and blue added so that you can see me.
