I did 2 dives at Norrander's Reef (also known as Rockaway Beach) this weekend. Hadn't done this site before, but I think it quickly became one of my favorites. Unfortunately we only saw one octo on the second dive, and no Wolfies, but there were tons of Nudibranchs all over the reef. Some of them I hadn't seen before this dive, which was cool. Definitely going to make a lot more trips out to this site, and make a point to go at night. Visibility ranged from 10-25ft throughout the dive.
Another diver there teaching a drysuit class lost his light before our second dive. So dive #2 was part search & rescue but with nothing found. Found out at the shop today that apparently he found it earlier today after dragging a scooter out and heading north off the reef.
Some of my photos. Still struggling with strobe positioning to minimize/eliminate backscatter, and these were my first 2 dives after picking up a second strobe.
Lone camera-shy Octo
Not covered with crabs, but still had a decent number
And lots of nudis
