It's almost time to say good bye to all our friends in WA

Post by Jeff Kruse »

Our constant companion Wally, died on Monday night. Wally was our 9 year old English Mastiff. We are extremely heart broken.
A few pictures and words can be found at http://thekrusechronicles.blogspot.com/

This brings a close to our life in Washington. Katrina and I have already purchased a house in Puerto Rico. We will be moving there as soon as we can sell our house and wrap things up.

I have been here for 15 years and Katrina has been here for 25 years. We each have done over 1500 dives in Puget Sound and are ready for some easier diving. Puerto Rico might not be the best choice for a dive vacation but it should be a great place to live.

We will be very sad to leave our friends BUT we have room for visitors and hope to be taken up on the offer. We are not on the beach but we are less than 10 miles away. Give us a few months and we should learn where the good caves, dive sites, kayaking places, ect are.

I'll still check this board on occasion. You wont get rid of me that easy. :) I know I have been an arrogant ass at times but I can also be very helpful and generous. I hope its more of the latter.

We are selling most everything we have. We have already sold a lot of stuff on Craig's list and here but those are things we didn't need. Now it time to get rid of just about everything. We will have some scuba stuff to part with but a lot of it we are keeping.

I'll make a list of some of the items. A lot of stuff will go at our final Moving Sale.

Here are a few things that might be of interest to some of you.

I'll also be selling my Twin HP100's. I am asking $400 for them.
I'll have a 6 cf argon bottle and argon regulator for sale.
Katrina still has blank Note Cards, magnets, and bookmarks left. She also has very few small prints left. She will be selling her big printer and not so new computer.

She also has a 10' x 10' easy up canopy with side panels. Its well made and heavy duty. She used it at all her art festivals. She is asking $200 for it.

We really had a wonderful time here and would do it again in a heart beat. We are thankful for all the people we have met and all the great times we had here.

I only met Wally once when I drove out to your place to buy some stuff, but it was clear that the two of you had a powerful love for that dog, as did he for you.

Ginny and I have two big dogs that....well, I can't even describe how much we love those two mutts! When I read your description of the last day I had tears in my eyes. There are "dog owners" and there are "dog lovers"....I am of the latter type and I know how you must feel.

May good fortune follow you both....

Really sorry to hear about Wally. I'm going to be devestated when my dog dies- I don't like to think about it.

I know you've been waiting for this for a long time, and while I'm sorry I hear that day has come I know every new beginning comes with an end of something else.

When is the big day? Are you going to do one more cold dive before you go? Will you be back for shrimping season?

Glad to hear you'll still be around. Safe travels.

even though we've never met, i'm sorry for your loss. my wife and i are very attached to our dog, so i can understand how difficult this time must be for you.

puerto rico is a wonderful place. i'm sure you'll be very happy there. which part of the island will you be settling on?

take care, and have a safe trip.

The best to you and your wife Jeff. I never met you but I met Katrina a couple of times. I have a couple light switch covers I bought last time she was set up at the Seattle center, must have been Folk Life Festival or something. I've always felt that there's a market for househould decor that depicts NW marine life. Everything you see in stores is always tropical marine life.

So sorry to hear about your dog.
