Current Cabo Pulmo dive shop recommendation

Post by Mateo1147 »

I'm headed to Cabo Pulmo in a couple weeks and looking for current dive shop recommendations. I searched this topic and 2015 was the most current info I could find.
Thanks for any info you can pass along!

Mateo, I stayed at Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort in November of 2016. They were fantastic.

Nice report and pics! I can't wait to get down there. I'm going with the wife and her two kids. I will dive in the mornings and then snorkel with them in the afternoons.

Mateo, if you are renting a car, reach out to Sagi at BBB Rent a Car. They are phenomenal, the cars are not flashy (which is good) but they are a no BS shop. The other car rental places have hidden charges and really fleece tourists. Sagi will arrange to have you picked up too. Also tell Rico “hi” if he is still with Cabo Dive. He is a cool cat :)

I'm going to be down there in May, but my trip's going to be a bit broader. Fly into SJD, hop on a liveaboard for nine days out to the Socorros, then when we return will be renting a car in Cabo and driving the length of the Baja, leaving the car in Tijuana and heading over the border to San Diego for the flight home. Total trip will be three weeks.
