Another Intro

Hello all, I was browsing the net trying to find a local forum for divers. I'm stoked to have come across this one.

I've been a northwest (read: cold water) diver since 2001. My family and I recently bought our first house in Stanwood, WA. After a several year hiatus, including ear surgery, I'm back into diving now. I'm curently sitting at just under 100 logged dives and I hold a PADI Master Diver certification. I have all my gear and I'm fairly game to go diving anytime. If anyone wants a buddy, give me a ring. As I mentioned in the Dive Trip Forum, I'm very interested in diving Camino Island, as it is very close to home. Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Welcome to NWDC Seth. I just drove by your neck of the woods yesterday on the way back from a charter out to the San Juans. Diving was great.

You'll find a lot of active people here, both in diving and on the board. Glad to see that you're not shy

Welcome Seth. I just went through some of the pictures on your Website. Truely Awsome.

If anybody hasn't yet checked them our take a look at Seth's pics.

Let me know if you'd like to dive Mukilteo sometime, I usually dive after work around 3 or 4. See you around.

Thank you for the kind words Jake. I'd love to dive Mukilteo with you. I may be available this weekend but certainly anyday next week (3 to 4pm works great for me too). Are you a Trox diver? (Nitrox)

So, does that mean that you are actually certified for Trox or you just have a buddy "hook" you up?

PM me your contact info and we'll get in touch this week. I'm getting my cylinders hydro'd this week so I'm staying dry until next week. As I said, I'm game next week though.

No, I'm certified, I have my AOW card also.

Some folks dive EANX EVERY dive, I just evaluate my dive plan and decide if it's called for. For instance unless I go to doubles, or am doing 4 dives in a day, EANX at Edmonds Underwater Park doesn't make a lot of sense, but doing dives like the Mukilteo clay wall using EAN on even a single dive helps your bottom time and increases your safty margin. That's all I meant.

Next week sounds good, let me know what day works for you, right now it looks pretty open for me.

Welcome Seth, though I'm still pretty green, 26 logged dives, I'm always looking for buddies especially those with more experience.

My buddies and I dive Mukilteo regularly but would also like to find some other north end sites as well.

I'm diving Thursday night at Camano Is. State Park. I'll let you know how it turns. If their is actually something to see, we could head up there next week sometime.

Sounds good, I live in Marysville but spend my SI in Seattle. If I head North it would have to be a Friday or on the weekend since 04:30 comes pretty early.

Indeed. Okay, I'll PM you with my phone number and email address. I'm often off work by 2:30, so I can do afternoon dives as well.
