Question about inviting folks to dive classes

Post by ableiman »

I signed up for private AOWD certification classes 9/7 and 9/8 but it would be considerably more affordable (and more fun) if 1-3 additional people wanted to join. Is there a forum in which it would be appropriate to post that in?

I would have gone with a group class but couldn't find any scheduled classes that worked for my schedule between now and November.

Thanks!

Talk to your instructor and see what he/she can come up with. I have always been a fan of group classes since it gives you instant buddies!

I might be interested. Where is the class, who is the instructor, what agency, and what is the cost if I join in?

Thanks for posting.

Andrew is awesomeness people... He will likely be your new most enthusiastic northwest dive buddy... I highly recommend taking this class with him :D :joshsmith: :joshsmith: :joshsmith: :joshsmith: :joshsmith:

Depends on the instructor. Group classes are less personal attention.

Thanks Laura!
Sorry for the delay everyone. Fell off the map on a family vacation but coming back up for air now.

Dive Shop is Silent World out of Bellevue. Instructor is Walker Linna.

Dry suit class 1 - Would be Friday the 8th at 1pm or so in Bellevue. This is optional.
Advanced Open Water - Day 1 - Saturday the 9th - Could do it at Alki or go up to Whidbey for something more exotic. Up to us. 3 dives - probably 6 hours total.
Advanced Open Water - Day 2 - Sunday the 10th - Somewhere close. Maybe Edmonds. 2 dives. Maybe 3 hours.

No class room time required for the AOW stuff.

Also should I post this somewhere else or is Introductions the best spot to do so?

and @rcontrera - I would have preferred a group class but don't have a free weekend for months other than this one so decided to go for it! The plus side is we can dive cooler places like Whidbey :)

Thanks again all
