I'd Rather be Diving

Post by dwashbur »

Last Saturday night, September 7, I had a totally new experience: a heart attack. A combination of:

- a nurse wife who called 911 within seconds of the onset of the symptoms
- a fire station more or less right around the corner from us so paramedics got here in less than 10 minutes
- quick action and transport to the hospital and the catch lab
- two stents

and I'm feeling even better than before it happened. I'll be on some medications for the rest of my days and I need to make some small dietary changes, that's about all the residual effect. I'm doing great, even go out and sing at Dawson's in Tacoma every Wednesday night some time after 9. C'mon out some time and give it a listen, y'all.

You know that old thing when you ask someone "Are you serious?" and they answer "Serious as a heart attack"? Yeah, there's something to that.
I don't recommend it.
Dave

Glad you're coming out the other end feeling better. Keep after the diet, it can be a challenge some days more than others, having watched loved ones go thru this process. Best to ya.

Life will be changed for you but, fortunately, it hasn't ended. Make the most of it. May you recover fully.
