What is this and why is it attacking me?

To be fair, I started it. I thought it was almost dead, but no. On the actual video you can hear it hit the camera lens, and it attacked me once more off camera.

Kind of hard to tell. Maybe a plainfin midshipman?

I'm not sure but I saw one about 2x that size on Sunday. Same behavior too, I thought it was dead, then it took off! I think I got some video, but my mask was flooding while I was trying to shoot, so I doubt it's very good.
