Sunnyside Beach Sunday morning

I’ll be hitting up Sunnyside Beach in Steilacoom tomorrow, Sunday, June 9th, to test out a completely new kit. I’ll be figuring out weight and testing my setup. I plan on being there at 0800.

Ended up with a good gear test. There were two Thurston County Sheriff divers and another couple out that morning. After a very shallow dive, I ended up moving some hoses around, adding another 7 pounds, and changed out a horrible sternum strap that was digging into my chest for a simpler snaphook and bungee configuration.

You seem to have had a good experience at Sunnyside Beach as your initial attempt. Changing the weight and modifying your setup appear to be good steps for improving the ease of diving. How did the new gear handle overall?
