My 8th and 9th dive today at netarts bay.
Arrived at 6 am high tide was at 7 am.
10 foot vis.
52 degree water.
30 foot depth.
Strong current outbound when low tide starts up.
Huge crabs, lots of them.
So much to see, so little air.
I can see this addiction will lead to a rebreather real soon.
Perfect area for beginners scuba diving.
Rinse station has warm water.
Left Portland at 4 am arrived at Netart boat ramp at 5:30 am only saw 2 other cars the whole way there.
The drive home at 10:30 am was a whole other issue. Lots of toy haulers from sand lake. Thank god for passing lanes and Subaru STI engineers.
Just thought I would share.
Thanks for the space!
Sean

He was there, I met him unknowingly. I dove with a padi master diver by the name of Grant. He had a new dry suit he was trying out and I am inexperienced as a diver so it worked out great for the both of us.
I am sure he will chime in on this site at some point.

Keep Diving, Stay Safe!
Keith.
As for right now I have found tons of places in Oregon I want to go and am going to hit them up every weekend until my list runs out and then we will see if I venture north.
The Oregon coast has so much to offer.
Have you looked at google earth hybrid maps?? Holy crap!! Why can't I live to the age of 200. There surely is not enough time to explore all of it.

Diving the oregon Coast is all about timeing the tides
For Example
Bar View Jetty is a good dive if you like to Drift dive but you have to watch the tides real close mis them and you could get pounded on to the rocks or wasedout to open Sea Im no exepert but I think that eather one of those would suck big time
the 3 Graces is a nice dive if you time them right and dont mind a little hike .
there is a couple other sites but they are all real dependent on the tides
Pm or email me next time your planning a trip out to the coast maybe I can join you and show you around the sites a little bit
