Moulton falls
Anyone dove here before??
I hear good things like lots of caves to explore.
Sounds like a freshwater dive for Saturday.
Grant are you up for it??
Anyone else want to join us??

Its in Washington 35 minutes from Portland.Diver Doug wrote:Where the heck is Moulton falls?

Google earth it in hybrid form. You can see its a large waterfall pool. Its just to the north of Moulton falls state park. Notice the huge waterfall. See the huge pool below?? That's it. Apparently it is also a hangout for large freshwater fish as well. It is well worth a dive if you ask me.
Grant let me know because I have a party to get to Saturday night so the earlier we can hit it twice the better.

Awesome dive!!
Super clear water 52 degrees.
Huge salmon, 3 or 4 of them.
Caverns and small caves!
Crayfish galore!
Perfect beginner dive 30 feet or less.
Lots to see in a small area.

Excellent dive report. I need to take some writing lessons to enhance my dve log entries, which are rather scant.spatman wrote:here's a dive report on moulton falls:

I would love to do a fresh water dive that actually has some marine life. When I think about it, of all the fresh water dives I've done, the most I've seen is an occasional lone trout, but lots of crawdads and muck. Anybody know of similar sites closer to the Seattle area? This particular site is over 3hrs from my place, but I'm willing to give it a shot just for something different to do.
