PNW Tech Diving Conference Update

Post by peo »

I'd like to extend a thanks to all those of you who have bought tickets for the Pacific Northwest Tech Diving Conference on Sunday.

The tickets have been sold out for a while by now, and I'm already getting excited about the prospect of putting together an even bigger conference next year.

The finalized agenda for Sunday's conference is:

09:00 Introduction
09:15 WWII Aircraft In Lake Washington, John Sharps
10:15 Six-Gill Sharks and Marine Life In The Twilight Zone, Jeff Christiansen
10:45 Coffee break
11:15 Imaging Sonar Systems, Lee Thompson
11:45 Fatalities In Technical Diving, Richard Dunford
12:15 Lunch, prizes
1:00 The Ghost Ship Of Puget Sound, Brett Eliason standing in for Bob Mester
1:30 Mysteries Of Lake Washington, Walter Jaccard
2:15 Coffee break
2:45 Quality Of Education For CCRs, Mel Clark & Leon Scamahorn
3:15 Recommendations For Dive Operations, ENS Heidi Bevis, USCG
3:45 End notes

No tickets are sold at the door, and there is currently a waiting list of people in case there are cancellations, so my apologies to those of you we don't have room to accommodate this year. Looking forward to seeing you next year!

I'm very glad to hear it sold out, as that will make it more likely to be repeated. I had to work this year -- Maybe next year, I'll be able to make it!

Well, it was a good news, bad news sorta thing for me.

On the one hand, I'm glad it's been so well-received.

On the other, by the time I went to purchase tix, they were all gone.

That's what I get for being a world-class procrastinator.

Next year indeed ...

I bought my ticket when I got an email that said there were only 15 spots left. Good thing I didn't wait and see!
