My big brother, the know-it-all, says: "the prosaic answer is, non-drive-up ones have to have it, and it's cheaper to make one style keyboard than two.

"But the real answer . . . well, you clearly haven't spent enough time driving around Washington: Most of them are doing it by Braille."

Maybe I can send my editor this thread to prove I was writing something ... just not the something she had in mind.

Then again, she's a diver and would probably get distracted too.
