Underwater Video

Post by Tangfish »

Hey guys, I think my next step is to get into underwater video. Do any of your have any experience there? I'm thinking of getting the following setup:

Image
Sony PC-1000 3 chip CCD MiniDV

plus this:

Light and Motion Mako Housing

Its not a cheap setup, but I think we'd certainly have some great documentation of our dives from that point on. What do you guys think? Advice, suggestions, warnings?

I'd like to get some twin 80's but honestly I think the cold is what is limiting my bottom time rather than air supply, I can't remember the last time I came back with less than 1000 psi. Maybe the argon bottle is what I need. The video setup will make you a star Dave, don't fight the feelin'!
