We dropped on this little Red Octopus hiding in the engine block at the bottom of the buoy line.

I found this bright little Mosshead Warbonnet. I don't usually see many of them here.... Cove 2 seems to be more Warbonnet city.

This Slender Cockscomb was a fun "accidental" find, and was a real treat sitting on his little shell. I touched part of the vertical "junk" at the site and it just fell over. I didn't intend to do it, honest! And there he was, sitting in this shell. I know I'd have never seen him if the structure hadn't fallen over.

This fat Penpoint Gunnel was hiding in a cinder block.

I noticed more juvenile Painted Greenlings than I have ever seen on a dive. It's cool to look at their face and see how they are less elongated than their more mature kin.

This Lion's (or Hooded) Nudibranch was a real treat. I haven't seen these guys very often. I saw him "swimming" in the water column, and followed him until he "landed".

We were "buzzed" by a Kelp Greenling on this dive protecting it's eggs. I've seen several large Kelp Greenlings here (particularly on the tire piles) that never let me get close to them.

This Red Rock Crab was NOT in a sharing mood!

No kidding!! All I did today was study for Monday's exam and pack for next weekend's big move. The closest I got to diving was packing the rest of my gear!

I've never wished for empty tanks until today... they're SO much lighter when they're not full!!

So Tommy, about those kelping eggs; I ran across a ton of those last week at Kayak Point (in about 12 FSW) and they looked and felt exactly like styrafoam (albeit metallic in color). Is that what they were? We saw a couple of "balls" about the size of a basketball down in the bottom of some old, forgotton commercial crabpots.

Well, I wouldn't call it fondling! I could have sworn it was metallic styrafoam.
