Did 3 Tanks today, 2 Nitrox (32 & 36), and one air.

Wish the 3rd one would have been another 36%! My buddy had done his 3 tanks on air, and even with good surface intervals was close to deco on the last dive.

This could certainly go somewhere. In order to get it to meet the requirements of the marking, it has to say something to the effect of "this bottle may contain something other than air - be sure you know what it is blah blah blah" - the VooDoo gas ones say just enough to "pass the test" of finicky fillers.

Nice work Spatman!

Ya better make bunches of em! There are quite a few of us who would put them on their tanks!

i'll do some research and see what i can find out. i'm out of town the first week of November, so it might not be for a little while.

standard bumper sticker size is probably the easiest to get. are there any other dimensions i should be looking for?

OK so that video was Hilarious but when he ask how far are we going, I think to myself "what no GD dive plan you idiot?" What kinda diver other than completely nuts complains about freezing but keeps going deeper. Not to mention there was nothing to really see to me.

That's Richard Pyle behind the camera diving a CisLunar CCR. I suspect they've done that profile enough to know exactly what they're doing. They are looking for new species of fish (and found one on the dive), very much a working dive.

I have no idea how they plan their OC bailout (if any). The Cis is totally recoverable underwater after a complete flood and the sorb canisters are UW swappable too, so maybe they don't carry OC bailout. Pure speculation on my part.

His screenname is "Deepreef" over on TDS so if you want to know his planning protocols you might PM him over there. Super nice guy despite the Tourette's :rr:

I'll be damned, staged OC + surface support bailout. Not something I'd heard of people doing before. Anyway, too bad nitrox doesn't give you cool squeaky voices.

Nitrox Rox

Post by DFessler »

I too, like a lot of you dive Nitrox each dive. As an instructor the difference for me is what I intend to do after a day of teaching. When I dive air during a class weekend, I am seriously ready for a nap. Last weekend we dove 3 dives on Saturday on 36% and still managed to go home, shower, go out for dinner, shopping, and a movie. In fact we were laughing at we would have never done so much after 3 dives if it hadn't been for nitrox.

A2Z Scuba also offers all you can breathe cards for $200.00 per tank per year. It is tank specific but if you dive just 52 dives a year at $15.00 a fill you still save $380.00 a year. If you dive professionally and don't get shop perks you save a tremendous amount more..

Geezer gas or not.......Nitrox Rox!!!!
