Burntchef & Nailer took me out for a dive when I came to town last summer and I can tell you it's a very nice light. The lighthead is extremely compact. Somebody is getting a smokin' hot deal on this. I can't believe it wasn't snapped up in the first few hours.

I'll say! For $350 you couldn't even buy parts & materials at wholesale to machine one yourself.

bulb & ballast: $115 + shipping
battery pack: $110
charger: $40
Delrin block for canister: $30
Aluminum bar for lighthead: $15
switch, boot, cable, cable glands, latches: $50

That's $360 before you've even taken the delrin & aluminum to the machine shop or payed any shipping!

If I didn't already have a HID canister I'd be on this like Jr. on Bob.

So...the canister clips to your belt or your BC, and the light head clips to-what? Your wrist? Your head? I've never actually seen one of these underwater-all my friends and I have HID Light Cannons. But this seems pretty cool, and I'm not averse to accumulating MORE gear....

The light head rides on the back of your hand- either with an elastic strap, or a goodman handle that you grasp- it's pretty neat- you can let go of the light and use your hand and the light stays put, more or less.

Thanks, Sounder. \:D/

Scott, it's like Nailer said. Here's a picture of how it's carried. This is not the same lighthead, but this is how it's worn.

i believe it actually uses the same bulb as the cannon , but has a much more thightly focused beam, much much more. still for sale and like i said earlier if you want to test dive it id be more then happy to hook up for a dive.

well i did a little more research and it is the same bulb for the cannon, which is cool since you can get bulbs then for about $75 online, not the 150 dive rite express wants
