Baby Sounder is a BOY!!

Yesterday afternoon Erica and I went for our "big ultrasound" exam and learned that Baby Sounder is, in fact, a beautiful baby boy! Everything is the right size, in the right place, and to this point everything appears to be progressing in a normal, uneventful, boring fashion... and a boring pregnancy is exactly what we want. We're so excited and can't wait for the baby to be born (due sometime around August 1st, +/- 2 weeks).

Congrats. I have three beautiful daughters, but boys are good, too :hello2: As for names, I can say from experience that "David" is a good and noble name

David is the middle name.

Good point John - I guess we'll have to rethink Sounder Jr. and pick a different official name. Maybe that'll just be his NWDC name.

I think 'Sounder' would actually be a very cool name. A bit unusual but not too crazy.

Well, currently I think we're 95% on Dylan David Marcoux. David is my father-in-law's name (since he's getting my pop's last name we figured it was fair) and Dylan is a name we really like. I just looked it up and Dylan means either a) "the sea" or b) "son of the sea." Not too bad!! Something tells me "Dylan" will someday mean "little terror who gives his parents a run for their money" to us, but for now I'll take "son of the sea."

As the mother of a 3 year old boy I can tell you...your hands will be full. On top of that, he is your kid so I expect nothing less. Hope he has Erica's good looks!

I felt him move for the first time today!! He's already working toward that PhD from Grateful Diver & BDub!! Clearly, he must be practicing his helicopter turns and frogkick!!

That's something you'll never forget as long as you live. My youngest (of 3, all girls) will be 18 this month, and I still remember the first time I felt each of them move. From one dad to another, you're truly blessed, my friend.
