Colleens on a new adventure

Post by Scubak »

OK...So Cold or GIS GAL or just Colleen is onto a new adventure...
She is leaving to TEXAS!!! :dontknow: She is starting a new job and we are having a send-off!!!! :partyman: :partyman:
Sunday, April 13th at Stanley and Seaforts Restaraunt (http://www.r-u-i.com/sta/resv.php) in Tacoma at around 3:30pm...that is when happy hour starts and they have great appys and drink specials till who knows what time...
It actually is pretty casual in the bar so stop on by and say good bye....that way you get a spot to stay for the the trip to the Flower Gardens.
Hope to see new and old friends there.

Thanks K for setting this up. :partyman:

Looking forward to see dive buddies before heading South to Texas.
The Flower Gardens will be in my back yard ~ It would be great to get a group of PNW divers down there.

Hope to see everyone on Sunday.

Wish I could be there, Colleen, but I have to work. I'll be there in spirit wishing you well on your next adventure. Please stay in touch and let us know how you like the diving down that way. Where are you actually going?

G ~
I am moving to The Woodlands. A community North of Houston.

Got a GIS gig. Looks like it will be a great job.
I just wish it was located here in the PNW. I will miss all my great dive buddies.

The only place I dove in Texas was off South Padre Island which is a ways from Houston. But you should plan on a trip there sometime. I believe the dive shop I went with was "American Diving Company" or something like that. The diving was pretty good even though it was very hot (90 degrees+) and the viz wasn't as good as they usually experience (it was only 30-40'). I was there about 2 days after Katrina so they were starting to feel the effects of the storm. But we dove a tugboat and an old oil platform and it was pretty nice.
Congrats on the new gig, BTW. Hope things are great for you down there.

Darn! :angryfire:
I can't make it because of work.
Bye Colleen :hello2: I never actually got a chance to dive with you. Do you think thy will allow "pink fins" in Texas?
Good luck in whatever your doing and give us a full dive report when you can!
