I don't think it'd be a good idea to have a club dive at Chip 'n Dales, Pez. [-X

I'm out for both 6/22, and 7/12-13. Oh well... Hopefully will be able to make a dive-beer-pizza/bbq the next time there is one.

Hey Valerie - the 2007 DATC website is STILL up and is VERY similar to the 2008 website in its address... might want to let them know! #-o :dontknow:
You're right, we brought it up at our DATC planning meeting this past week. The CURRENT Dive Around the Clock website is at http://www.divearoundtheclock (if you just put in divearoundtheclock.com you'll get last year's site).

Speaking of which, there are still lots of time slots available. I know Wylerbear and I are planning on doing night time slots and I happen to know from last year that the 4:00 AM slot is AMAZING!!!

And, (shameless plug) you can always come on down and take a DAN class in support of DATC if you don't want to dive \:D/

hm, that's pretty weird, val. http://www.divearoundtheclock.com and http://divearoundtheclock.com should both point to the same site. if you need some help figuring out why this is out of whack, feel free to PM me.

You'd think, and yet it didn't, at least not with me. Not sure why.

With gas prices what they are...
And the viz in the canal at a really bad time in July...
I opt for June some where or for a longer/trip wait till late August or Sept for an overnighter to the canal...
How about Les Davis, Titlow, DIW or something in June then meet for a burger and a beer somewhere...

I will be watching this topic as it developes. But as you all know by now, week end diving is not an easy thing for me.
But if someone wants to take the ball and run with it {Miss penelope?} I will do all I can to be there!
June 22 would not work for me because I will be flying up to Alaska that afternoon.
{Not realy a Dive trip, but anything could happen}. Julay 12th I might be able to make that one, especially if its at The Hood Canal. Are we going to try to get the "Yellow House" this year? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: \:D/

How about the club dive be held at SUND ROCK. I could set it up with the Car takers that we get the Whole parking lot (maybe)

I love going south on occasion. then its not so far that the portlander's can stop complaing about gas and driving those unsafe scary prius' .

This club is about SCUBA diving right? Just checking...

Sund Rock usually makes for a good dive site. Not to much to worry about current wise. Although, we have not dived there since the storms at the end of last year. Last I heard there was quite a bit of life back on the rock but, still a layer of silt everywhere. It would be a great site especially if the parking area could be reserved that day. You have our vote for Sund Rock. :salute:

What kind of diver did he say he was? I thought I heard him say he was a "tough diver," but I'm a little hard of hearing, might have got that wrong, somehow.

There is a honey bucket at the parking lot. Kind of like a port-a-potty, but don't have to port it anywhere, and probably a tad more comfortable, but just a tad.

Well if we need the rock I can get it, but not only us. But They said that they will tell everyone that we will be there and that should scare off most divers except the ones that drove from Oregon to dive. So what do you think?

As for facilities, THere is a honey bucket and a parking for 30 cars, 15 top and 15 water front. the space would be fine for a club dive we jsut need tables and such, I could bring one Plastic Banquet stle table. thats a start.

Or maybe i will bring the plywood saw horse table it is bigger!!
