Sale OlympusC-60 digital/6.1 pixel/Ikelite housing/1550 Peli

Post by narcosis Junky »

I'm selling a Olympus Camedia Digital camera C-60 Zoom, Point and shoot Digital camera. It is a 6.1 megapixel. 3 batteries, charger, CD, cable, Manual, 1 gb card and extras. I paid over $400 for camera. Also in the package, a Ikelite housing with extra O-rings. Silicone lube for O-ring. Lanierd for camera housing. Flash difuser and Flash barrier. Paid $400 for that two. And to finish a pelican 1550 gray case to protect a good investment. paid over $130 for the case. I also bought two extra batteries for the camera. Extra seal for housing, and the lanierd. a Shami mat to assemble package and whipe down towel. I spent over $1000. I'm selling it because I have two of these systems. One for me and one for the wife. She has no interest in underwater photography. so she wants me to sell it. It's been in the water maybe 3 times. So yes it is just like new. Incredible package for the price. Think of it as buying the camera and getting every thing else for free. It will go fast so first come first serve. Cash on pick up only. Questions call 541-912-1205. Best time to call is after 10 Am. :supz: :supz: :supz: :supz: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

$400 is the asking price. I'm pretty firm on this. I'm taking a big loss as it is. It takes awsome pictures and good video two.

No response on such a great deal. Did I do something wrong. Or is every body out of money. :dontknow:

Maybe it's because you can buy a new, 12mp camera with a huge viewing screen and the housing for under 400.00 :dontknow:

Wow! I would love to see that. I shop around a lot for Cameras and housings. I have never seen anything that cheap. I know I have over $1000. invested in this system. And I have only had it for my wife for a little over a year. She doesn't use it. I use mine. I don't need two. As far as big scfeens, I don't like them, they eat batteries. And then the batteri is only good for one dive. That's what I like about this one. You can use it for more than one dive. To each his own I guess. I could lower the price a little, but I'm already taking a big loss. :dontknow:

Well some people like casio. I like olympus and nikon. I don't think you can match the price. I trully believe you get what you pay for. I know I tried to by a cheap camera witha cheap housing and that's exactly what I got. it's ok if you are with in a $400 range. i'm a little piki about what I buy. Not that there is any thing wrong with casio. It's just not my style. All that matters is that you get good pictures. if it works for you than great.

Have you seen the pics that members on this board take with thier "cheap" Casio cameras?

Agreed. Dusty2 takes book-quality pictures with his "cheap" Canon. I hope I don't sound pedantic or condescending with the following thoughts on selling used items:

1. Nobody cares what I paid for it. The only question is, what is somebody else willing to pay for it?

2. If I feel I'm taking a massive loss, maybe it's best to keep it for the time being.

3. The minute it becomes a used item, its value is only a fraction of its new cost.

4. If the goal is to recoup what I shelled out, I'm going to be disappointed. A better goal is getting rid of something that's become unnecessary baggage. Viewed that way, any sale is a success.

I actually developed these ideas in relation to garage sales and such, but they seem to apply just about everywhere.

A suggestion about your camera setup: if you really feel you can't sell it for any less, hang onto it as a backup system. When I bought my wife her Casio a couple of months ago, it seemed as though our old 5 mp Pentax had become obsolete because we now had the 8 mp Canon and her 10 mp Casio. Still, when we came to Monterey I brought all three cameras, even though there were only two of us. As it turns out, that was a good decision. We had an "incident" at Monastery Beach a couple of weeks ago and the Casio was lost. Basically, I had to choose between rescuing the camera and rescuing my wife. Most folks agree I made the right choice :supz: But it left her without a camera. Well, out came the old Pentax, and she's been taking some great pictures with it. So we're thankful we had the backup. I've ordered her another Casio, because she really liked that one, but while we're waiting she can still take pictures. That might be an approach for you to consider.

Again, I hope I don't sound condescending or like I'm "talking down" to you. I don't intend to, I just offer these thoughts for whatever they're worth.

I've found that a back up "most anything" always seems to pay off in our cold, dark PNW waters!

I own 5 under water cameras. Aback up isn't an issue for me. I have nothing against casio. I'm sure they are great cameras. Personally I like my big Nikon system. I know that's not for every body. That's what makes us all different.
