What phones do you surf NWDC on?

I'm interested in getting a phone with which I can surf the web, send/receive email, post on forums, etc with. I'm not a gadget-geek, but I do like having cool stuff that does what I want it to.

What suggestions to you have for a web-"doing" phone? I'd prefer to stay with Verizon if possible.

Ooh....now you're talking my language! I have the LG Voyager which is currently out of stock on the Verizon webpage, and is truly awesome. A modified html browser (not quite as cool as the iPhone,) and a touch screen that flips open to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard, which makes sending email, text messages, and posts to NWDC forums so much easier....

The LG Dare looks even more awesome, but it lacks the physical QWERTY keyboard (there's a touchscreen one, though.)

Both phones have the Get It Now apps as well as Verizon Navigator (say goodbye, TomTom and Garmin!) and Verizon's browser. Not the greatest browser in the world, but pretty cool.

I have a blackberry with verizon. Its the Bomb. It does it all !!! I have the world addition its 3g network and is full broadband

Sprint Absolutely Everything Plan and the Samsung Instinct. It has its limitations but it does everything I need it to and more. It's the plan that makes the phone great as Joe found out when he got his blackberry.

TDS, SB and NWDC all work pretty durn well on the second coming of the iphone. I've never posted using it but I've PM'd a bunch.

You also have the added bonus of looking like a yuppy nerd when you're using it... oh... wait.

I have. It's not as easy as some of the other phones out there. It's better if you use the stylus but I generally use my finger.

I have a blackberry curve, and it's awesome. Okay, except when I'm watching cartons while driving 65 mph down 405 driving a semi..... but whatever. I've posted with it a few times, and it allows smilies and everything. Plus it has an actual keyboard, wich I personally like better than a touchscreen keyboard. You can check it out next time we dive together if you want.

I also use a Palm Centro. I like that I can use all my palm applications, especially the Tide Tool that provides me with tides and currents for all over the world.

I've had a 7200, 2 8700's, a 7100, and at least 3 perls. They've met random demises. A few dropped overboard... left in a taxi... stepped on... crushed while moving a car seat back... dropped...

There is so much I miss about my blackberrys... the keys being one of them... the reliability for sure.... but I don't require a reliable phone anymore. I'm actively choosing sexy and fun over reliable...

But given my track record don't expect my sexyphone to last too long.

Have you seen the bold? I don't know how "sexy" a phone can be, but that thing has got to be up there on the scale of 1 to sexy.....

I have been looking at a curve as well. It does just about everything I need in a phone/pda. My only problem is that it does not run Vplanner. Im hoping they make Vplanner for the Iphone soon as they just came out with Mac software very recently. Its time for a new phone

i didn't have movies, Doug, I had SprinTV. It was a service (bunch of t.v. shows) offered by sprint that came with my plan. i have since gotten rid of the curve and now I have a G1.

Yeah, the G1. It's a piece of crap. Don't get one. It does things like listen to music and tell you what the title is and the artist. It scans a product and tells you where to get it for less..... I hate that phone. Stupid Tmobile. I hate Tmobile.

I know it's getting to be an old topic? But I want to say that the G1 is awsome! I can view NWDC just like on the computer. It just needs a tide app and a dive log app.

V-planner was just announced for the Iphone. Should be available sometime next month.
