Some friends and I are doing a current run Sunday afternoon between the Manette and Warren Ave Bridges in Bremerton.
This is a really fun dive I have done many times traveling about 1 mile underwater on a current run. If interested
leave contact information or respond to my email.

Tom,
Love your photos....
I am a math and science teacher, been in the Bremerton Area 32 years.
Life long customer of Sound Dive ( see video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKa1M-zsJYs)
(Put together this video for Jeff)
Advanced diver (over 800 dives). Dived all over the world but mostly in the NW.
Diving with another advanced diver and a couple new divers.
Bridge current run on an incoming tide (one bridge to another another) about one mile apart
(diving around 1:00 pm Sunday Afternoon)
If the visibility is good it should be a great dive. Lots of area covered, rocky bottom lots to see,
Hazards: Currents (but we wont be fighting them) and boats (usually drag a dive flag for any assents)
Skill level: An open water dive... moderate to high
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Port Washington Narrows Current Run 10/26
Thanks for the info Bob, and for your kind comments as well. And welcome to NWDC, BTW!
Also, I meant your experience on the dive, not your personal experience or qualifications! :-) Although it's nice to know that as well!
What's your max depth on this dive and your depth range? What's the terrain like? Are their only certain conditions you look for or do you just pick a tide and go for it?
That sounds like I dive I'd love to do someday!

Re: Port Washington Narrows Current Run 10/26
Cardiver,
Been teaching at Marcus Whitman Junior High
Have a younger brother that graduated from Bremerton in '83
Tom,
Max depth between the bridges is 60 feet
We can control the depth by how close to shore we go (usually dive max depth 40 feet)
Distance between the bridges is a little over one mile and usually go on a 1.5 - 2.0 knot current
so travel time is about 40-50 minutes. Travel over a rocky bottom don't see a lot off detail
but the closest thing to flying you can do without a scooter.
Thanks,
Bob
