I just want to wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year. =D>

I think you guys are the best group of Dive Junkies I've ever met. Thanks for everything you've done, for me, and for everyone else that needed help, advice, site beta, equipment etc.

Happy New Year everybody!! The Sounder house will be in bed before 9pm tonight. I haven't been in bed before 1am on New Year's in over 15 years... it'll be fun to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed tomorrow morning, that is if Baby Sounder will cooperate.

Please remember... please don't drink and drive. A cab is cheap, and spending the night or sleeping it off in your car (without driving) is cheaper.

Happy New Year, NWDC!

Diving quite literally saved my life, and this club is a big part of why I dive as much as I do (still not enough, though.) Thanks to all of you that have been a part of it, and I can't wait to meet and dive with more of you in 2009.

And yes, please don't drink and drive tonight-I'll be out there on the road, and would like to make it home safely! :la:

This group has helped me to transition into the diving world comfortably and confidently. I would like to thank everyone for their help thus far and for the help I will most assuredly be asking for in the upcoming 09.

Happy New Years to everyone above and below the waves.

Sounder be careful one time I slept thru New Years and a woman I worked with said if you do you will have a baby that year. I laughed at her but she ended up being right cause my now 18yo daughter was conceived that year. You have been warned.

The Spawn of Sounder part II, should hopefully be in the oven just before the end of 2009 if everything goes as planned.

Hey Sounder, just don't name him/her "The Spawn of Sounder II", trust me kids are cruel. My last name is Rotman Koenen and I have heard enough Rotten Conan jokes for a lifetime (although I never hated the Conan part as much as the Rotten part).

Happy New Year, all of you. Thanks for all the good times in 2008, both in the water, and here on the site. I can't really complain about 2008- I had some really good times, and some incredible dives- but a lot of crazy stuff went down this year, too. I'm hoping we can spend 2009 recovering from 2008, as a country, anyway. I hope for good health and good cheer for all my friends. And I hope for yet more epic dives!

This was an interesting New Years for me... For the first time in a very long while, I stayed home, skipped the cocktails, ate a healthy dinner, and went to bed early. I feel GREAT!!

Seriously, I haven't felt this rested and bright-eyed on January 1st in over 16 years since my parents started letting me stay up until midnight!!

Um.., I can't exactly say I'm bright-eyed or bushy-tailed... Yowch. :violent1:

But I can echo the sentiments above. The people on this board are amazing and I feel lucky to be able to dive, lurk, and laugh with y'all. Here's to a 2009 full of tons of great dives, adventures, milestones and even more connections. Divers are just freakin' cool people.
