Movie

Well, it's my first underwater film! I chose sort of an "action" theme. Kind of a good old chase-type scenario:

Looks like we have the next George Lucas on our hands! \:D/

Cool, Nailer! I have always been fascinated ever since I discovered that clams could "run". Try placing a sea cucumber in the path of a hunting sunflower star some time if you want to see something REALLY move!

Those things can move? Yeah, I'll try that! I didn't know they could do anything besides look strange!

Wow! I've never seen that before. I guess that's why they call it a foot?

Yeah- that's a "psuedopod", or "false foot", isn't it?

Did you know that you can embed video in posts on NWDC?

Just include the snippet of code available on each YouTube page:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/i-EJuL0ix5Q"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/i-EJuL0ix5Q" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

btw, can you hear that sunflower star laughing while it's trying to catch its dinner?

Nailer - did you take that with the video function of your digital camera or was that camcorder? Great film! I have yet to see it in person, but it sounds great.

DiverDown - how does the starfish eat the clam? Does it just start pulling the clamshell open until the clam can't hold on any longer or what? I would love to see that.
