Redondo & Three Tree 4/4

Post by Seaslave »

Did two dives today with ScubaScott. We met at Redondo around 1pm for our first dive. It was my first time at Redondo and Scott was an excellent guide. We headed straight down to the bottle field looking for one of these Spiny Lumpsuckers everyones been seeing.... no luck. Saw most of the sites on the way back up and I got to meet Pepper. We decided that Redondo was kind of a dud so we headed over to Three Tree N. for our second dive. Photos from Redondo:

This was my second time diving Three Tree North but my first in the daylight. Once again Scott was a great guide. There was way more critters at 3TN. Tons of little bitty Opalescent Nudis like there was a hatch or something. Lots of other nudis, and a very hungry crab. We also saw the wounded Lingcod that I think someone else reported seeing here the other day. We thought he was dead at first but after about a dozen flashes in his face he finally twitched. Hope he makes it. It was a great day for a few dives. Thanks Scott for hooking up with the outatowner for a little bottom time. Here's some pictures from Three Tree:

Mathue,

Glad to have you down for a little dive time. Three Tree North was a good choice for our second dive. Viz was great at 20+ feet and 35-40 virticle. I have some video of the crab having Mr. Octo home for dinner.

Wow pretty cool! How on earth did that octo die? It couldn't have been killed by the crab... could it? Total nature channel moment in what looks like some excellent viz.

Thanks for sharing your report/pics/vids.

Nice video Scott. I have a short one too but I can't get it to upload on YouTube :angryfire:
Let me know when you're gonna be up my way for some diving or anyone else for that matter.
