Sounds like it's going to be crowded on Sunday. Too bad you can't join Tom and I on Monday, Keith.

Yes Splash Time is 11:15AM.

I was going to try to show up between 10:30 and 10:45 or so (I want some time to show up and brief for those of us who have never been there, and then gear up). I'll leave Titlow at 10:15 or so. So meet about 9:45 or so to put all the stuff in my truck (that way we can have a lil' time to throw all the gear in one truck and organize a lil.)

Sounds good to hear you can make it blackwater diver. I'll be in doubles too. We can match up if ya want.

If anyone has questions or suggestions my number is (740) 974-3051

kitsapdiver wrote:Well I'm all about DIW. I'm available all day so let's do it at the best time for current which I understand to be about 10:40 splash time. If someone who is expeirenced at this site wants to suggest otherwise and offer to lead the charge (diver_c) I'm willing to change the time. So this is tentative and subject to change but let's plan on:

WHEN:10:40AM Sunday May 17
WHERE: Day Island Wall

WHO: At least me, billandwende, bassman, blackwater, H20doctor and diver_c and whoever else wants to come. When I get a PM from you I'll edit the post to add you to the list. Please indicate if you are familar with the site and willing to show us around or if you'll be doing your DIW maiden dive.

I would prefer a tailgate to set up on. :highfive:

What time is our splash time now? 11:15 am?
I'm still up for a second at Titlow. :fish: Then third and fourth at Redondo. \:D/

I have no tailgate but you can use a door if you want. :breakdance:

And Ill need a :binkybaby: sitter to show me around.

Kitsapdiver (has not dove DIW yet)
Billandwende (has not dove DIW)
Blackwater (not Sure)
Bassman (has dove DIW a few times)
Diver_C (has dove DIW more than me)
H20Doctor (has dove DIW at least once)
Friend of H20Doc. (don't know if this diver has dove DIW)
Renoun (maybe)(has not dove DIW)
Raptor + a few (maybe)(has dove DIW)

It's going to be a large group if everyone shows!

Hopefully we can match everyone up with a diver who has allready dove this site.
We should meet early enough to gear up, go over our dive plan and bail out options.
This site can get wicked current real fast and sudden so be ready for that.

I'll be at Titlow at 9:45 am and will carpool with someone.

If you have a lot of people that are new. The north wall is smaller and shallower and still has a lot to see. Now if you go to the south wall you can easily get to 100 + feet but this weekend tides are good to do the south wall. Ride the flood down and the ebb back. It makes for one sweet dive just keep in mind your air.

We're diving a flooding into an ebbing tide, so at the wall we'll be going south, then at slack, going north.

Hey Raptor

I will be in a green Toyo Tacoma. Come up and say hi. Maybe we can try to put something together for another dive day.

It looks like I will make it. FYI I did the wall today and the current change direction early and this has happened to me the last few times I have been there. So I would like to get in one hour before slack. I would advise people show up a little earlier.

I'm in! I am off to pick up tanks right now. I will see you folks tomorrow. I have done DIW once and am looking forward to my sophomore attempt.

Alright, I missed tank pick-up at the shop. Silly Saturday hours. Anyway, does anyone have anything larger than a HP80 that I can borrow (I will pay for the fill, of course...)?

For me, it has been the opposite. I'm usually getting in, too early.
I trust Diver_C's prediction and will go with that.
If Someone wan'ts to go earlier with You. I'm sure you will have an even better dive at Titlow
(if you are oplanning a second dive there.)
The last time I dove DIW, I splashed about 20 minutes too early. It was not a terrible dive, but the current going out to the wall, was a little extreem. Our second dive, at Titlow, was like bath water, no current!

Kat, Gor for the LP 108's! They might be bigger than you :ballandchain: , but you'll have plenty of air! :smt064 :evil4:

You would probably dive these better than the 108's.

Besides whats wrong with HP 80's? You probably breath like a :prayer: or :mermaid: !

I wished I breathed like a girl. For some reason, my RMV has yet to drop below long-haul trucker levels. See you all tomorrow!
