Don't hold your breath. Viz will vary from zero to 10' until late June or July, typically, with a few exceptions on the odd day.

One of the advantages of threads like this one is that you can go back in previous years and get a general read on the viz.

This has become my least favorite time of the year for diving. But it is perfect for a Bonaire trip! :)

We came down from Nanaimo yesterday on the ferry. It was amazing . . . the water at Nanaimo was choppy and blue, but about an hour out, we crossed a vivid dividing line into water that was light brown, and that's what we had all the way to Tswassen. The particulates coming down out of the mountains are amazing. I suspect the viz won't get better until the flow rate in the rivers goes down again.

Redondo Saturday, a big whopping 5ft, occasional squinty 10 at depth.

Leschi Wall Sunday was sweet with 20ft viz at tec depths. Probably gonna be Lake Diving for awhile :)

Redondo on 5/2 - 3:30 splash = 20-25' and a little hazy at depth
Redondo on 5/2 - 5:30 splash = 15'-20' and still hazy at depth

Almost zero viz from 25' up

Salt Creek, a hazy 20' from the surface to 39fsw (our max depth on both dives).

Lake Crescent, easily 50'+. The water is cold at 46 degrees with no thermocline down to 90ffw.

Vis at Three Tree Point North this afternoon was cruddy but manageable. I'd say 5-10ft with it being a little bit better at depth than in the shallows. Lots of chunks in the water as opposed to cloudiness. There was also some surf--nothing too bad, but more than the absolutely nothing we normally have.

Cove 2 this evening looked pretty good off the dock, but once under the water around 8:30pm it was only about 10ft of vis. Pretty clear in the first couple feet above a halocline, then cruddier down a ways before opening up a little bit at depth. Not great but manageable.

Mukilteo tonight was 2-5 ft in the top layer, opening up to a nice 20+ ft once you hit 40 fsw.

Three Tree last night was actually nice. About 15-20ft regardless of depth. I mean, the water is still "chunky" with plankton, but the water was otherwise very nice.
