Bravo Bravo... You were able to see passed my bad photography!
Now.....if I just just figure out that eyeball that CALVIN posted! ](*,)
Personally, I wonder if he didn't throw in a "tropical eye" just to throw us off! HA!

This one's been buggin' me. Gotta believe it's some kind of sculpin, cuz of the eyebrows. I'm gonna guess it's a scalyhead ...

I'll give John a partial win for guessing that it was a tropical species. Take a look at the whole thing, it's a scorpionfish!
Shot off of Alona Beach, Bohol Island, Philippines.
So, am I disqualified or are tropical fish allowed in this game? Come on, the PNW fish are too easy, especially for those of us who've been through one of Janna's classes.

I know that it will sound unbelievable, but I thought that it looked like a scorpionfish when I first saw it......
So, Calvin, if PNW fish eyes are "too easy", why haven't you taken a shot at my eye photo # 5? Hmmmmm?

I think that's fair ... but I think if it's tropical you should say so. Otherwise folks aren't gonna even think to guess in that direction.
Here's my next (local) eye ... should be an easy one for some folks ...

Nice attempt at kissing up, Calvin, but yeah YOU'RE DISQUALIFIED!!!
For now, let's stick to PNW fish, and when your fish is guessed correctly, do just what Calvin did and please post the photo of the entire fish too!
OK, maybe I'll let you still play Calvin. You DID create this new forum for the fish geeks - so that DOES earn you big points in my book!! (thank you again!)

Nope!
I absolutely guarantee that you have personally seen this common species. Whether you

#7 is
not a copper rockfish. I'm really surprised this one is stumping you guys, I figured I'd make up for the tropical fish by picking a very conspicuous local one (hint, hint).

No, Bob....# 6 is NOT a Sailfin Sculpin. Here's a HUGE hint - it IS a sculpin of some kind.
Calvin! What kind of hint is THAT? "Local"?...."Conspicuous"? There'll ALL supposed to be local! ](*,)
You must be one of those sadistic guys!
