General banter about diving and why we love it.

1, 2, 3....not it!!

But, I'm glad to see the discussion has been revived. I still have a bunch-o-stuff that I could get rid of.

If I can get commitments in terms of (a) people that would pay $5-$10 to have a table there, and (b) people that would pay a few bucks to get through the door, then if it pencils out to get the VFW Hall, I'll organize the space. We'd still need volunteers to help run the thing day of.

well, it doesn't look like people are excited to pay money for this, so i'm guessing that renting a space is probably not a good option.

so if anyone knows of a free space we could use, let us know...

A dive club in Yakivegas just held a similar event and raised enough money to pay for one the WSA mooring buoys. Now they get to decide which site to put it at and get a really cool plaque to put on it.

They even had enough money left over to put into the club coffers. I think they raised something like $1600 at their yard sale which is going to supplement other money they raised to be able to fund the buoy.

It would be pretty cool to have a buoy with the NWDC logo on it.

I can hardly believe that there is a dive club in Yakima, but, apparently there is. Not sure what puddle they dive in, but, hey, they apparently have really cool yard sales. They raised a ton of money.
