Somebody moved Keystone mermaid. She isn't hiding in a cave under the rock anymore ...

I was watching the crab crawling over the Lingcod, expecting some action.
Especially when the Ling started to open its mouth...

But the Ling obviously doesn't like crab legs and the crab liked me or my camera more.

Wow, Jan! When you told me about them yesterday, I thought they'd be interesting, but they're way better than that.

Thank you.
Just when I think there isn't much else I can waste pixels on, something else shows up.
Got to love the underwater world...

Don't touch them with bare hands!

Wow, it would be unnerving to have your hands and arms go numb after handling egg capsules. Glad for the warning, although I don't intend to disturb any.

Wow. I missed that somehow on the initial reading.

All I could think of, while looking at those amazing pictures, was how brave you are to be doing macro photography that close to a Lion's Mane jelly!

Lynne,
Maybe " not too smart" might be better description than "brave"
![:) :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
However, I did noticed that the jellyfish was not trailing its stinging hairlike weaponry like the on last week at Holmes Harbor which got me as I was swimming through 2 feet of visibility. But at least I know that I don't suffer nasty allergic reaction to their sting.

"Eyes bigger than one's stomach".
But wait, anemones don't have eyes ...

This Lingcod has total disregard for the "No fishing in Keystone Underwater Park" rule ...

In honor of Robin Williams, my mind is hearing him at the beginning of Mrs. Doubtfire when he's overdubbing that cartoon:
"Hello, lunch!"

I never thought that Langley would be some day without starfish.
Now it looks like that day is not too far off :(
