I can't make the dive, but I just handed Penelope a big stack of coupons good for half price admission to the Dive Expo next month! Please spread them around as best you can!

Unfortunately work obligations are turning out to be more than I can manage and I won't be able to make it tomorrow. I am so very sorry. That doesn't mean the show can't go on though!

Is anyone in the Seattle area going down tomorrow? I have 50% off coupons for the Dive Expo and I'd like for them to get handed around if possible. I can bring them by tonight if so.

this sucks evryone is bailing, and on top of that i just got a call from a friend who was in hoodsport yesterday getting some oysters from his favorite oyster place and he said the water was super brown and he talked to a few divers (knowing i was heading there) and they said the vis was shit. maybe its gonna be a bust after all.

maybe it should be moved to a place around here with more flow, like muk state park??

Well, a modest turnout today ... but I think everyone had a good time. I got in two nice dives with the Spudmeister ... and then ate too much and decided to sit out the third dive.

Vis wasn't awful ... and topside was just downright nice. Almost got too warm when the sun was out.

Wasn't a whole lot to look at down there today, so I ended up playing around with lighting and trying to get an anemone pic I liked. I kinda like this one ...

Everyone who matters was there. Vlad and I did dive #1 on the south wall. Visibility was pretty lame down to about 60 fsw and started clearing up a bit. There wasn't too much life until we got way to the south end where there was a sizable school of rockfish. I spent some time hanging with them and then Vlad found a really cute but photographically uncooperative wolf ell near by. At about 50 minutes in, Vlad told me he was getting cold and we turned the dive. We picked up the pace on the way back. The find of the day was waiting in 10 feet of water back at the entry. Dozens of very small opalescent nudibranchs. It's time to switch back to macro for a while.

For dive 2, blaiz, spudgunman and I headed out from the north entry and immediately found a beautiful vermillion which spudgunman quickly covered in a cloud of silt. That's for calling me dphershman :neener: We quickly worked our way down to the sea whips below the north wall. I just can't get enough sea whip. From there we headed up to the north wall where we ran into probably the same vermillion.

Thanks everybody who turned out for a terrific day of food, diving and conversation. And for those of you who bailed, thanks for the easy parking.

Oh and nice shot of the anemone Bob. It's cool when you can present an ordinary subject in a new and interesting light.

Another club dive, new people, new diving spot, visibility was not that bad - it was almost perfect diving outing. Except, I jinxed my luck with the neoprene neck seal this time and didn't fold it properly. Small trickle of water made my base layer almost completely wet down to socks. Other than that everything was very nice!

James, thanks for showing me around and for turning back at 50 min. Really appreciated that!

Nice pictures, everyone! Post more, please!

It was nice to meet everyone!
