DCS, Offgassing, Hearts, & Equalizing

Post by diver-dad »

If you're like me, along with actually getting out there and diving, I love reading about it too.

Came across this article that I found particularly interesting where is talks about the effect something as simple as the valsalva technique has on your heart! (aside from having a defect or not!)

This is an article by a B. Krooss on a fairly common (estimated 10 - 30% of adults have it) & benign heart defect that originally appeared in the Spring 2001 issue of IMMERSED mag.

It also suggests some other "gentler" ways to equalize.
