Sounds fun, but I'm cooking the bird for the first time this year! :violent2: :violent3: Note: if you see a large plume of smoke coming from Sammamish, don't panic - I just opened the oven! ..... Hello? Papa Johns? #-o

Here's a thought - at Halloween divers carve pumpkins underwater... on Thanksgiving we could...... #-o Better yet! - take your pumpkin on a dive the night BEFORE Thanksgiving! What better way to brine your bird than in the ocean!? :bounce:

I might be up for it. I am teaching a class this week but I might like to do some fun diving at Alki. I will let everyone know by Wednesday.

dont fret sounder i can walk you thru a perfectly cooked bird if you need some guidance. just remember brine, sear, cook, baste, baste, cook, let rest, carve, eat. if you want more details let me know.

Thanks - I might do that. I've spent lots of time talking with my uncle and I think I have everything outlined thoroughly... should be an interesting time.

One suggestion: 400 degree peanut oil. Fry the bird. Brine and fry.
