What this seems to be boiling down to is this: Teledyne will continue to manufacture the good old R22-D cells, same as ever, but they officially do not make them for use in CCRs. Seems to be a move to protect them from liability. I find this disturbing, but I can certainly understand any company wanting to insulate itself against lawsuits. But my Meg requires a particular kind of 02 cell to work, and the only alternative is the AI R-22D (Which I have had fail on me in a spectacular manner).
Perhaps this might open up the market for a manufacturer to start some competition? If Teledyne doesn't want the global market for CCR 02 cells (probably a fraction of their sales), maybe someone else is willing to wade into the fray?

Yeah....I don't trust AI cells at all!
