basically if i think it's cool enough to bother looking at and/or take a picture/video of, then i leave it. That way someone else can do the same. It's pretty simple really :)

and how many bottles does one person need anyway? ;) Kind of like stuffed animal heads and other hunting trophies... one or two = cool novelty, 20-30 = very understanding significant other.

I agree with you on this one Laura. Take the mining towns in the mountains when I was a kid their was all kinds of cool stuff their to see. 30yrs latter their is nothing left for anyone else to see now. It totally sucks, I do not like to take anything off a wreck or even take bottles out of the water and have had some stern arguments on boats over that. Certain things like anchors I will pull that are not in a popular dive areas. or I will move something from no mans land to a popular site so people can see it.

Um, Greg? When you were a kid, they were still actively mining up there so of course there was cool stuff to see. :smt064

Do people feel that bottles are relics or trash??? Typically when I see them it seems like garbage and I consider removing them (to recycle/clean-up). Are glass bottles ok on the bottom, and aluminum cans to be picked up? Personally, I don't dive to see toilets and beer bottles/cans.

Bottles make great homes for gunnels and octos. If someone's potentially living there please leave it.
Al and steel cans corrode fairly fast in salt water getting to the point where they'll cut drygloves etc easily so I leave them. The ocean is iron depauperate anyway.

I don't think you're going to get much agreement on this, heck people can't even decide if the Geodome is trash, memorial or both.

JaWS is back up. I had been Word Press hacked and it took me awhile to get things squared away. There are some text/html anomalies in the bodies of some of the posts, so I still have some clean-up work to do, but the information is all back.

depends are they king county or pierce?

as for trash I dont pick up bottles and cans cuz they are fun to look at.. I will pick up broken glass however. I also pick up trash trash that isnt fun (plastic and fish line if its easy to tackle)

as for ship wrecks I have this old old map of every wreck compiled by some dude for the PNW Im sure its common knowledge but I have no good way to scan in it for people.. I would love to if its cool I did notice that it has a UW archive stamp on it so I assume it came from there. I am waiting for the day that I am experienced to hit wrecks in the sound did them in tropics but its a bit different when its warm and you can see everything like day
