Divers find "World's Oldest Champagne" in the Baltic Sea

Post by John Rawlings »

I just saw this on the BBC and thought that NWDCers would find it interesting! Can you imagine finding a case of still drinkable centuries" old Champagne on a dive????

And they wonder why things get sold on the Black market. who cares about getting your name out there, some rich cat would have 29 bottles of the oldest champagne on the planet in his cellar and I would have a fat Lichtenstein Bank account.

I was thinking about this over the weekend....

If you buy a $69,000 bottle of champagne, what kind of special occasion does it need to be for you to open and drink it?

The general consensus among my family was, "Woohoo! I can afford a $69,000 bottle of champagne!"

Personnally, I wouldn't go drinking something I found bottled up at the bottom of the ocean.
