unless i can find a DIR buddy to go in my apartment with me, i have to camp out in the yard...

For proper DIR mounting of children they should be back mounted and manifolded. :blackblink:

My apologies. Sidemount the children as needed, just make sure and do it in the normal stage configuration.
And, for God's sake, if your dive buddy has children, ensure s/he sidemounts his/her kids in the exact same way you do. Safety first!
