I was shooting a juvenile sculpin at Three Tree North and when I looked closely at the pic the orange in one corner caught my eye. He / It is maybe the size of the fingernail on my little finger. It sure looks like a juvenile Cockerell's Dorid (laila cockerelli), pg. 259 Lamb.
Am I right? Some kind of eggs perhaps? Other ideas?

I believe that you do, in fact, have a shot of a tiny little Cockerell's Dorid here.....their shape and coloration is quite distinctive. I've usually seen them up in the San Juan's and I'm a bit surprised that you saw one down at 3-Tree....what a GREAT find!
You're really getting into Nudibranchs, aren't you?

I agree with John - nice little Cockerell's dorid you have there! They usually aren't big. I've seen teeensy to medium sizes ones in Puget Sound. They're not common so it's a great sighting!
